SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Betty’s Commitment to Social Responsibility
At Betty, our dedication to social responsibility transcends the pursuit of profits. Our mission is to allocate a portion of each sale to support meaningful causes, prioritizing these contributions even before covering our expenses or compensating ourselves. Below, we outline the two primary causes we are committed to supporting:
Lakota People's Law Project
The Lakota People's Law Project works tirelessly to protect the rights and culture of Native American tribes. They focus on promoting justice, accountability, and healing by addressing systemic injustices. Our support helps them continue this vital work to preserve the heritage and rights of the Lakota people and other tribes.
Innocence Project
The Innocence Project is dedicated to exonerating wrongly convicted individuals through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. By contributing to this organization, we aim to support their efforts in seeking truth and justice for those who have been unfairly incarcerated.
Community Support in Nunavut
In addition to our ongoing contributions to these causes, every Christmas, we take part in a special initiative to support the community in Nunavut. We proudly supply our delicious caramels to a project that fills Christmas stockings with essential food items and sweet treats. These stockings bring joy and much-needed supplies to the community, and we are delighted to play a part in this festive tradition.
At Betty, we eagerly anticipate the realization of our goal to consistently support these initiatives and make a positive impact on the world. We believe that by putting social responsibility first, we can contribute to a brighter future for all.
